ESP Portada del antiguo Hospital de San Cosme y San Damián. De estilo gótico tardío, fue construída a finales del s. XV por inicativa de Juan Arias Dávila, obispo de Segovia, cuyos escudos la flanquean. En los 70 se demolió este edificio y la fachada se trasladó a la vuelta de la esquina para servir de entrada a la residencia sacerdotal del arzobispado, momento en el que desaparecen las tres esculturas que adornaban las hornacinas, que representaban a la Virgen del Rosario y los santos Cosme y Damián.
ENG Doorway of the former Hospital of San Cosme and San Damián. Late gothic in style, it was built in the late 15th century at the behest of the Juan Arias Dávila, bishop of Segovi, whose coats of arms flank it. In the 70s this building was dismantled and the façade was moved around the corner to serve as the entrance to the archbishopric’s priests’ residence, at which time the three sculptures that adorned the niches disappeared, which represented the Virgin of the Rosary and Saints Cosmas and Damian.
